Transformer repair

Transformer repair

Our company has the capability and experience to perform a full range of services related to the purification, regeneration, drying, and degassing of transformer oil, as well as the rigging and installation of transformers. We also carry out the following repair work on power, furnace, and autotransformers with a capacity of up to 500 MVA and a voltage of up to 750 kV, including:
  • disassembly/assembly
  • rigging work for transportation
  • Inspection of the transformer’s active components, re-compression of the windings and yoke
  • repair and replacement of windings
  • Repair and replacement of on-load tap changers (OLTC) and their components
  • Restoration of transformer insulation properties, drying, and cleaning
  • solid insulation from oxidation products
  • vacuum treatment of transformers
  • Repair and replacement of high-voltage bushings
  • Regeneration, drying, and degassing of transformer oil
  • Reconstruction and commissioning of transformer protection systems
  • Replacement of rubber seals, thermal switches, gas and jet relays
  • air-cooling fans, insulators, silica gel, flexible sheathing, disc valves
  • Cleaning and painting of transformer surfaces
We provide on-site services—dispatching specialists equipped with degassing and drying units, blowers, and all necessary equipment to your facility.

We perform work on both transformers undergoing repair and fault-free transformers in the field using mobile units.

The complete process of rigging and installing transformers includes the following steps:
  • Drafting the preliminary design and signing the contract
  • Inspection of the site and equipping it with all necessary lifting equipment. If the transformer is oversized but not heavy, we perform the work on an express basis
  • Safety training for employees, issuance of work permits
  • Unloading (loading) and unpacking (packing) of a transformer
  • Aligning the transformer along its axes, securing it, and performing a final inspection
Our company is equipped with all the necessary equipment and tools to perform the above-mentioned work.
We hold all the required permits, declarations, and an ISO certificate. All employees are certified to work on live electrical installations exceeding 1,000 V and have completed the necessary training.
Our team has over 10 years of experience in the field.

UVM-15 L degassing unit for oil processing.

The unit is designed: for vacuuming transformers; for purifying insulating oils—whose viscosity at 50°C does not exceed 70 mm²/s2 (cSt)—of mechanical impurities, water, and gases.

This unit is used during the installation, repair, and operation of oil-filled high-voltage equipment (power transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, etc.).

The TOR-1MS is a rapid tester for determining the moisture content and temperature of transformer oil.

The TOR-1MS allows for rapid testing of transformer oil and enables quick troubleshooting in the field near the transformer.

The TOR-3 instrument is designed to determine the tangent of the dielectric loss angle and the dielectric permittivity of transformer oil and other liquid dielectrics in accordance with IEC 60247 and corresponding national standards, GOST 6581-75, and ASTM D924. It is a fully automatic device that performs testing in accordance with the procedures specified by these standards, as well as according to user-defined procedures set in the corresponding section of the device menu.

The TOR-80/100 instrument is designed to determine the breakdown voltage of transformer oil and other liquid dielectrics in accordance with IEC 60156, ASTM D877, ASTM D1816, and GOST 6581

It is a fully automatic device that performs tests in accordance with the procedures specified in these standards, as well as in accordance with user-defined procedures set in the relevant section of the device’s menu

The “Sukhovoy-8S” unit is used during transformer repairs, specifically when depressurizing the core. It is used to purge the transformer tank with dry, purified hot air.

The unit also allows for the drying of sorbent in other units, assemblies, and systems at temperatures up to 400°C.
